The Raccoons of the Tama Hills are being forced from their homes by the rapid development of houses and shopping malls. As it becomes harder to find food and shelter, they decide to band together and fight back. The Raccoons practice and perfect the ancient art of transformation until they are even able to appear as humans in hilarious circumstances.<div><br></div><div>เรื่องราวเริ่มต้นขึ้นในช่วงปี ค.ศ. 1960-1969 เมื่อเศรษฐกิจของญี่ปุ่นได้เจริญเติบโตดีจนถึงจุดสูงสุด ส่งผลให้ความต้องการที่อยู่อาศัยมีการขยายตัวมากขึ้น ทำให้พื้นที่เพาะปลูกเกษตรกรรม ตลอดจนผืนป่ากว่า 3 หมื่นเอเคอร์ ค่อยๆ ถูกถากถางและปรับเปลี่ยนเป็นโครงการเมืองใหม่ “ทามะ” เพื่อรองรับผู้คนที่กำลังจะย้ายเข้ามากว่า 3 แสนคน<br></div>
