Yuta Hibiki can’t remember who he is, and now he’s seeing and hearing things that others don’t! A voice from an old computer tells him to remember his calling, and he sees a massive, unmoving creature in the distance. Nothing’s making sense—until the behemoth springs to life! Suddenly, Yuta is pulled into the digital world, reappearing in the real one as the colossal hero—Gridman!
เรื่องราวของ SSSS กริดแมน จะเล่าถึง ฮิบิกิ ยูตะ เด็กหนุ่มที่เพิ่งฟื้นจากอาการความจำเสื่อม แถมยังมีความสามารถในการเห็นพลังงานบางอย่างที่คนทั่วไปมองไม่เห็น รวมไปถึง “กริดแมน” ผู้พิทักษ์โลกไซเบอร์ที่คอยปราบปรามสิ่งผิดปกติ หรือไวรัสคอมพิวเตอร์ทั้งหมดทั้งมวลในโลกไซเบอร์ และพวกที่หลุดมายังโลกจริง ซึ่งกริดแมน ก็ได้มาสถิตย์ในคอมพิวเตอร์ของเพื่อนร่วมชั้นอย่าง ทาคาราดะ ริกกะ

จนกระทั่งวันหนึ่ง ยูตะถูกดูดเข้าไปในโลกไซเบอร์ และได้ทำสัญญาบางอย่างกับกริดแมน ทำหน้าที่ปกป้องโลกไซเบอร์ และโลกความเป็นจริงอีกด้วย
